Case Study: Research Institution

Coderant designed a decision support tool which incorporated an algorithm for diagnosing infants with minor to serious bacterial infections, based upon 15 years of research conducted in a public university. This support tool was built on a hand-held platform and rolled out to pediatricians affiliated to the university. It allowed the user pediatricians access to a matrix of diagnosis factors and provided the institution a vehicle to give practical application to its proprietary research.

Coderant works with some of the nation's largest university systems to design and implement software for a such varied functions as clinical-trial data management, electronic regulatory submissions, electronic medical records and digitized laboratory collaborations.

Coderant's customized approach has yielded proprietary platforms such as IDeAS and CeLFA, building on the experiences of real world clients and legacy systems. Coderant's client-focused methodology enables its platforms to be customized to a client's unique needs, whether that need is getting information to a clinician's PDA or tracking an adverse event for a clinical trial.
